With their characteristically dismissive approach to dealing with the concerns of privacy-conscious airline customers, the Transportation Security Administration have released a new animated cartoon to explain their invasive airport screening procedures to minors, so they don’t think it’s “scary”. Evidently, the greatest issue posed by these measures is the possibility of scaring children when their teddy bears have to go through the X-ray scanner. Of course, rectal probes, confiscated prescriptions, threatening and aggressive behaviour, destruction and theft of property, racism and religious discrimination, and detention without cause are non-issues that do not need to be justified.
And as with criticism of the actual TSA, comments and ratings for this TSA cartoon have been disabled. Enjoy!
